Who we are?
Our NGO, Blooming Bauhinia, focuses on the education of the general populace related to Hong Kong and what policy recommendations can be made to protect their democratic institutions.
In 1997, the British government forfeited their control over Hong Kong to China. In doing so, Hong Kong transitioned back to being a part of the state of China. However, in 1997 Beijing offered the 50 year promise ensuring that Hong Kong could maintain its unique democratic and capitalist qualities within its institutions. Since then, Beijing has violated many of the premises in which they previously agreed.
